The Stentor range remains very popular and is often recommended by schools and teachers. We also stock Knight, Cremona and Hidersine starter violins in a similar price bracket which provides a wider choice of wood colour and case design when it comes to buying your first violin.
For Those Moving On
Andreas Zeller violins are made in Romania and provide the tonal quality and performance needed for pupils working at more advanced grades. The Yamaha V5 violin outfit is another good choice for intermediate to more advanced players.
Something a Bit Different
Harlequin violins are available in the different sizes and in a variety of dazzling colours! Purple is very popular.
The electric violin is something else to consider – we stock the Carlo Giordano and Yamaha electric models. We can also obtain Bridge electric violins.
What Size Do I Need?
Violins come in different sizes – 1/16, 1/10, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 and 4/4 (full-size). Should you be in doubt about the correct size to purchase we will be happy to advise.

Bows for entry level instruments are normally kept in stock along with a few bows of the next level up.
If you are looking for a high quality bow, we operate a bow approval scheme where we obtain a number of bows from our supplier which you can try out in the shop.
