We stock a wide range of folk instruments including:
Autoharps: From Ashbury, Vintage and Goldtone priced from £187.92
Banjos and Banjoleles: We stock a variety of Goldtone banjos. We can obtain anything from the Goldtone catalogue. Goldtone have no UK distributor so there is no ‘middle man’ to add to the cost. They therefore represent excellent value for money.
Bodhrans: By Waltons, Belgarth etc. We stock a number of bodhrans and can order most makes. We also stock a range of tippers (bodhran beaters).
Ethnic Percussion: We stock a small number of drums etc. but can obtain any items from World Rhythm Percussion who are a local fairtrade supplier, Soar Valley Music and Percussion Plus.
Fiddles: From Stentor, Yamaha, Piacenza, Andreas Zeller and Cremona. We also stock the excellent ‘Headway’ Band pick up and can obtain ‘Bridge’ electric violins.
Harmonicas: We keep a large stock of harmonicas by Leen Oskar and Hohner. We stock most of the popular keys in the diatonic (blues and folk harps) range and also keep selectd harmonicas from the ‘Larry Adler’ and Chromonica range from Hohner. We also keep the Hohner Blues Blaster Harmonica microphone and harmonica holders and cases.
Harps: Starter harp outfits from 19 string lap harp (with levers) at £225.00 (including gig case, spare strings and tuning crank)
Jaws Harps: From under £2.00.
Ocarinas: From £7.99 and ocarina tutor books.
Mandolins and Mandolas: From Vintage, Ashbury, Blue Moon, Breedlove, Musicalia and Ozark priced from £189.00. We can obtain a large range of instruments from many suppliers.
Penny Whistles: From flageolets, Clarke’s original penny whistles, Clarkes ‘Sweetone’, Low D and Dixon Tuneables. We can obtain Cheiftain, Howard etc.
Resonator Guitars: By Goldtone including the GRE with twin pickups (one inside the resonator). We can obtain Vintage, Ozark etc.
Tenor Guitars: By Goldtone
Weissenborns: From Goldtone in either solid or laminated mahogany.
We are proud to stock Newtone strings for guitars, mandolin, mandola and banjos. Newtone strings are hand made in Derbyshire and the best proof of their quality is that we use them ourselves!!
