Steinway upright

This Steinway upright came to us in very poor condition and was in need of full  restoration.

The instrument had strong sentimental value to our client but it was important that it was restored to the point that it could be used each day to develop playing skills.

David set about the work, removing the old strings and then the frame.

The frame was re-gilded and the piano was re-strung. The action was completely overhauled and new hammers and dampers were fitted.

The casework was re-polished highlighting the superb crown mahogany finish.
