We specialise in fully reconditioned Steinway, Bechstein and Bluthner grand pianos.
For example we have recently completed a Steinway model O (5′ 10″/178cm) circa 1920, in rosewood satin with tapered legs. This instrument has been completely rebuilt and the work included fitting a new laminated tuning plank for improved durability and tuning stability. The casework has been re-polished to our highest standards.The Steinway is now in our showrooms awaiting your pleasure!
We are shortly about to start work on a magnicent Bechstein model V grand (6′ 8″/203cm) in burr walnut. This is truly a stunning looking instrument with octagonal legs and detailed music desk originally made in Berlin circa 1888.
We will, effectively, be completely re-building this piano and will be fitting a new soundboard and laminated wrest plank, thereby ensuring this instrument will be suitable for use in a centrally heated environment. Naturally it will be re-strung and the action will be fully overhauled and new hammers and dampers fitted.
