What is this funny instrument?
Now, for the children out there, who can tell us what this funny looking instrument is? That’s right, it is called a “KAZOO”. Instruments like kazoos have been used in Africa for hundreds of years, to disguise the sound of somebody’s voice or to imitate animals. The kazoo was based on these instruments and invented buy an African American called Alabama Vest.

- The first metal kazoos were made in New York where they are still made in the original factory.
How do you play a kazoo?
You play a kazoo by putting the bigger end in your mouth and ‘talking’ through it.
